Outreach to Street Children

Reasons for children to live on the road:
• Because of the population growth, 44 percent of the population are 14 years and below.
• Death of their parents because of sickness of accidents
• Divorce of parents
• The uncle can’t take the children of his brother because he himself has already children of his own.
• Children run a way because of hunger or because they get mistreated or have other family problems
• From the people they are seen as thieves.

How do street children live on the street?
• Begging for money to get food and drugs
• Rubbing people
• The people don’t like them and ignore them (even the Christians)
• They have no future perspective

What do the Children need?
• They need future perspective
• They need to be reintegrated in the community
• They need hope and feel accepted
